And after all, why would young people trust them ?
According to a recent survey from Fondapol, young French people are more depressed than their Western neighbors: one quarter of 16-29 years judge the future “promising”, compared with around 60% in Denmark, and 54% in the United States ... Only 39% believe that “people can change society” and only 22% believe they have “complete freedom and complete control over their future.” (source : Nouvel Obs)
It is almost good news ! It means that 75% of young French people have a realistic vision for the future, that 61% are not neo-revolutionaries like in 1968 (likely to return their jacket with a conservative vote when times will come for them to retire) and that 78% understand what kind of world "free" they live in.
Aside from Irony, the only good news are that this kind of information is still publishable and published in a country where the seriousness of the information is constantly weakening for the benefit of official statements.
By borrowing on their morale and their future, the young French people already pay avarice, greed and selfishness of the older generations for whom the State was more.
More freedom so as to choose their studies, life and future
More equality in access to health care,
More fraternity through a public service in which the State had not disengaged.
So, hang on young people !
May the next revolution be total or may it not be.
